The Northern end of the Borders Railway (part 1)

A quick update on the northern end of the line, looking at the on-going work at the station sites and the railway equipment, such as signals being installed alongside the track-work.

  1. Re your latest set of photos of the north end.
    Rails lying at Shawfair. Just a thought may have came from Bowshank Tunnel after the replacement with CWR. They seem to be using this site at Shawfair for loading/unloading material to road/railers.

    The discarded lineside box on the old Loanhead branch is the old point heater box from 71 points visible in photo. Used to be my S&T section many years ago.
