The Southern end of the Line at the Christmas shut down (part 1)

A look at the southern end of the line, with work finished for the Christmas and New Year shut down. Track-laying has finished for the year near Ferniehurst bridge just south of Stow. All this section either has track laid or is ready for the sleepers to go down. The major structures are all in place, but as can be seen at places like Stow station there is still a great deal of work to complete. Most of the pictures were taken just before Christmas, although a few of the shots just south of Stow show the works earlier in December.
