Saturday 11th January 2014

A cold but bright day at Whitrope, with a delivery of signalling and pw gear to unload which soon warmed the volunteers up. Thanks to the 77021 Loco Group and Tony Cormack for sourcing the materials and transporting them to site. We now hold most of the materials required to connect up the cross-over to the ground-frame and have interlocked point-work. This will be a job that will run through a good part of the year, but will really help push forward our operating ability.
Some work was also undertaken on one of the points as a prelude to the main works getting started over the next few months.

Alan and Bill were also on site doing some works in preparation for the new exhibitions that will be going in this spring.

  1. Looks like a busy year ahead for you.

  2. They were also pretty heavy when they went on the lorry too…..
