Saturday 23rd November

A cold but pleasant Saturday, saw further work carried out on the Fowler by Davie, Rod and Duncan with the large air pipes removed from under the running board. This will allow this side of the under-frame to be stripped, cleaned back and painted. The pipes that have been removed will be cleaned and prepared for re-fitting. The final sand-box was also removed, ready for restoration.

A start was made on the winter maintenance schedule on the Ruston with the fuel and oil filters removed.  The battery has also been taken off so that it can be re-charged. Elsewhere on site Peter and Tom continued their battle with the self seeding spruces.

During the week good progress has been made with the re-wiring of the Mk1 buffet, with sockets all wired in and most of the lighting complete.
