Here’s a link to a very interesting piece. Its a presentation by Network Rail on plans and progress for the northern section, given to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport on the 12th of April. In particular, it gives some interesting information on NR’s plans for the structures on the route, and its refreshing to see that so many of the existing bridges are to be retained and refurbished: a testament to Victorian railway engineering?
By the way, we’ve uploaded a new mystery location (apologies there hasn’t been a new one since Christmas). Take a look and give us your thoughts.
Finally, Mark 2f coach 1215 is on its way, and should rejoin an approximation of the Waverley Route at Junction 44 sometime today. Offloading at Whitrope is planned for tomorrow, fingers crossed. Photos of the move will be posted soon. Our grateful thanks go once more to all who’ve responded to the appeal for funds to move this vehicle.
